2010 Winterfest & Alumni Game
The UT Hockey Team is very proud to Announce UT WINTERFEST!! Winterfest is a brand new event held for the first time this year at the University of Toledo. This event will officially be sponsored by all UT Club Sports and the UT Sport Club Council, but has been inspired by the ideas of Head Coach Brent Figueira. The three day event is aimed towards getting students out of their dorm rooms and out on campus during the typically dreary winter months. Scheduled events include: a snowman building contest, bonfire, biathlon-style relay race, ice skating, and of course a UT HOCKEY GAME. And not just any hockey game. Mark your calendars for February 13th as Winterfest will culminate with UT Hockey's very own Winter Classic Game. Yes, that's right, this game will be hosted outdoors, the way hockey was supposed to be played, at the Ottawa Park Ice Rink.
If all this weren't enough, the Winter Classic will be preceded by UT Hockey's first Alumni Game. More details will be forth coming as we prepare to bring UT Hockey Alumni from near and far together for a much needed reunion and weekend of memories; both new and old.
