Words From Barb Phillips (CF Game Organizer)

I would like to thank the University of Toledo Club Hockey Team and specifically, Justin Phillips and Greg Urig, for asking me if I would be interested in doing a charity event last year. I also want to thank everyone who joined us last year and hope you join us this year to make this event even bigger. I picked the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as I have lived with this disease all my life. This disease is not a disease that is well known. In 2008 the life expectancy of someone born with CF was on average 37. My parents were told when I was born I might live until the age of 12. I am now 42. That is because of the research that has been done and the medicines that have helped. With this research, they are coming closer to a cure, but one has not been found. With your help, we need to make CF stand for “CURE FOUND”.
