TSCHL All-Stars
3/30/2012by Greg Urig

Following a very successful season which saw the UT Ice Hockey team post an overall record of 26-9, including a conference playoff championship, the Rockets brought home yet more hardware this past weekend.  For their outstanding efforts throughout the year, the following Rockets were recognized as members of the 2011-2012 TSCHL All-Conference team:

Ryan Sell – 1st Team, Forward

Nate Connolly – 1st Team, Defense

Chris Easton – 2nd Team, Forward

Dan Conway – 2nd Team, Defense

Garryt Kujawa – Rookie of the Year

With five members recognized, UT Hockey had more players selected than any other member of the nine team conference.  Beyond this recognition, Ryan Sell’s 18 goals and 14 assists in TSCHL play made him the top goal scorer and overall leader in points (32) for the entire conference.  Chris Easton’s 10 goals and 11 assists weren’t far behind in the scoring race and his outstanding efforts in the playoffs earned him the playoff MVP award.  Overall, the Rockets had four players in the top ten in TSCHL scoring with Sven Weisser (6 G, 16 A) and Garryt Kujawa (8 G, 16 A) joining Sell and Easton.
