This weekend the ACHA released the results of the second ranking period which came to an end on the Sunday, November 18.  The Rockets were ranked 6th after the initial ranking period and looked to hold that spot after winning 5 of 6 games during the period.  However, a loss at home to Pitt proved to be costly and the Rockets fell a spot to 7th in the region.  While disappointing to slip a spot, the team is still happy to find itself in the top ten in the region.  As long as they can maintain a spot in the top ten, the Rockets will earn an invite to the regional tournament held in late February.

The Rockets look to regain their momentum up the rankings with a good showing at the Great Lakes Showcase this weekend followed by four TSCHL games.  These will be one each against IUP and WVU followed by two against Cincinnati.
