UT HOCKEY 2023 OPEN TRYOUTS
The UT Hockey team is very happy to announce the start of the 2023-2024 season with news regarding pre-season conditioning skates and open tryouts. Dates and times for all skates are listed below. These skates are open to any current UT student. While our program does actively recruit players, we do offer the opportunity for non-recruited students to earn a spot on the team via these open tryouts.
All skates will be held at the Team Toledo Ice House (1250 W. Alexis Rd, Toledo, OH). If students need transportation to and from the rink for any skates, they should contact General Manager Greg Urig (greglurig@yahoo.com).
All players are required to provide their own protective equipment for tryouts. This includes a helmet with a full length mask or cage. No players will be allowed on the ice without proper protective equipment.
Prior to attending any conditioning skates or tryouts, all players are asked to complete the emergency contact form found here:
CONDITIONING SKATES
Prior to tryouts, the team will host two conditioning skates. These skates are not mandatory but are highly encouraged for any student planning to attend tryouts. There is no cost to attend the conditioning skates. The dates and times of these skates will be:
Monday – Aug 28 @ 10 pm
Wednesday – Aug 30 @ 10 pm
TRYOUT SKATES
The team will host open tryouts at the following dates and times:
Wednesday – Sept 6 @ 10 pm
Thursday – Sept 7 @ 9 pm

There will be a $30 fee in order to attend tryouts. This fee covers both skates.
Students interested in trying out for the team should plan to attend both tryout skates. If schedule conflicts exist, students are encouraged to contact General Manager Greg Urig (greglurig@yahoo.com) with questions.
